Mahakala

On this auspicious day, Saga Dawa, we are very happy to have filled the Mahakala Statue with rolls of precious mantras. We sealed the statue with prayers that all problems are swiftly solved, that every living being, both humans and animals, find peace, and that all trouble on Earth ends. Our wishes are deep and our aspiration prayers go out to all beings, the living and the dead.

Cleaning

Today more than a hundred monks from Lekshey Ling Monastery spent the whole day cleaning the entire area around the Great Stupa of Swoyambhu. They picked up all the rubbish that was lying around and filled many truck loads with it. We hope that everyone takes care of our environment and nobody has to clean up other people's mess anymore. Thank you for being heedful of our Earth, our wonderful home!

Bags for our Monks

Dear Dharma friends,

I just want to share with you again today that our young monks are carrying their books loosely because they have no bags, and the older monks use whatever bag they can to find to carry their things. I have ordered 300 bags for our young and older monks that they can keep and use all the time. Each will cost USD 6 and all together they will cost USD 1800.

I hope that someone will think of us and will want to donate them. That would be very, very nice.
