Urgent request for a badly needed generator

Dear Dharma friends,

Preserving and propagating Buddhism in this world is our commitment and job. Many people offer their time, knowledge and skills serving our great Lamas and the Buddhadharma as best as they possibly can, and there are people who generously support their work. I feel that I am a worker and again find myself needing to ask for your help.

In conjunction with the Leksheyling Publication Project of our Institute, we are presently typing the entire Lithang Kangyur as an input, which contains Lord Buddha’s teachings and consists of 22 volumes. We started working on this immense project last year as a dedication for the long life and beneficial activities of H.H. the XVIIth Gyalwa Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, and plan to offer the completed work to him as a Happy Birthday present this June. Unfortunately, there is load shedding of electricity up to 16 hours a day in Nepal and I am at a loss about what to do. Actually, we have two generators, but one is too big to hold the fuel and the other one is too small to cover the capacity of 20 personal computers that are being used by our monks to complete this project on time. It would be extremely helpful if some one would enable us to buy a medium-sized generator. It will cost about 2500 USD.

Thank you for helping us, thank you very, very much, and many greetings from

Khenpo Karma Namgyal.

In Taiwan until 20th of March.
